2.96

初、法。別教至極，但破無明一十二品，故於佛性見不了了。又從初心，不知五住即是法界，不名佛法，是菩薩行，故於佛性見不了了。

First, the dharma: At the ultimate culmination of the separate teaching, one only destroys twelve grades of ignorance, and therefore one's perception of the Buddha-nature is incomplete. Furthermore, from the initial mind, not knowing that the five entrenchments are themselves the Dharma realm, this is not termed Buddha-dharma, but rather bodhisattva practice; therefore one's perception of the Buddha-nature is incomplete.
