二、「又作」下二番，惟大釋。前之四釋通大小乘，無生滅惑未簡通別，作法或取毘尼之制。今之二釋，無生的破障中無明，通惑不生，為今取相。驗知此去惟就大釋，二：

Second, the two turns from 'further, ritual performance' onward are explanations exclusive to the Mahāyāna. The previous four explanations were shared between the Greater and Lesser Vehicles: non-arising eradicating delusion had not yet distinguished the shared and the distinct, and ritual performance occasionally drew on the vinaya regulations. The present two explanations: non-arising specifically shatters the fundamental ignorance that obstructs the Middle, and shared delusion does not arise, which constitutes the present obtaining of signs. Through this verification, we know that from here onward it is explained exclusively in terms of the Mahāyāna, in two [parts]:
