二、「以其」下，釋義，二：初、總明夢，二：初、明見金鼓，三：初、見鼓形狀；二、「其光」下，見鼓光明；三、「又因」下，見光中佛。此三共是長行所表三身之意。鼓雖具三，是所證故，合為法身。光具鼓三，全理是智，故合為報身。諸佛境智及以攝機，亦具三身，對上名應。此合九三，乃如夢三昧所觀之境，三昧是觀。

Second, from "Because its..." onward, explaining the meaning, which has two [parts]: first, generally clarifying the dream, which has two [parts]: first, clarifying seeing the golden drum, which has three [parts]: first, seeing the drum's shape; second, from "Its light..." onward, seeing the drum's light; third, from "Also due to..." onward, seeing the Buddhas within the light. These three together are the meaning of the three bodies signified in the prose text. Although the drum possesses all three, because it is what is realized, they are united as the Dharma body. The light possesses the three of the drum, and the principle is entirely wisdom, so they are united as the retribution body. The objects and wisdom of the Buddhas, as well as their gathering of capacities, also possess the three bodies, which are named the manifestation in contrast to the above. These combined nine threes are the object contemplated in the dream-like samādhi; the samādhi is the contemplation.
