二、「唯願」下，乞清淨。經「大悲水」者，同體之悲方稱為大。此悲為水，洗無不淨。悲雖同體，非緣不興。三懺為緣，不洗而洗也。

Second, from "Only wish" downward, entreats purification. As for the "water of great compassion" in the sūtra, only compassion of identical substance is called "great." With this compassion as water, there is nothing washed that is not purified. Although compassion is of identical substance, without conditions it does not arise. With the three repentances as conditions, it washes without washing.
