四、「從時」下，四佛還本，二：初、因緣釋。此信相等一類機緣覺性合興，乃感四佛不現而現，現為發心。心既已發，故不還而還也。

Fourth, from "at that time" downward, the four Buddhas return to the fundamental, which has two parts. First is the explanation through causes and conditions: when the capacities, conditions, and enlightened natures of Ruciraketu and the rest of his class rise together, they stimulate the four Buddhas to appear without [really] appearing, appearing for the purpose of their giving rise to the mind [of awakening]. The mind having already arisen, they return without [really] returning.
