二、引經別示。八色流光者，謂地、水、火、風、青、黃、赤、白八種色也。《法界次第》云「見地色如黃白淨潔之地，見水色如深淵澄清之水，見火色如無烟清淨之火，見風色如無塵逈淨之風，見青色如金精山，見黃色如薝蔔花，見赤色如春朝霞，見白色如珂貝雪。」

Second, citing sūtras to distinctively indicate. The flowing light of eight colours refers to the eight kinds of colour: earth, water, fire, wind, blue, yellow, red, and white. The *Fajie Cidi* says: 'Seeing the earth colour like pure and clean yellow-white earth; seeing the water colour like the clear water of a deep abyss; seeing the fire colour like smokeless, pure fire; seeing the wind colour like dust-free, remote and clean wind; seeing the blue colour like the golden essence mountain; seeing the yellow colour like campaka flowers; seeing the red colour like the morning clouds of spring; seeing the white colour like mother-of-pearl, cowrie, and snow.'
