初、明觀。五果既是因緣所生，可合鏡內拳指不實。二因既是能生因緣，可合鏡外拳指不實。

First, explaining the contemplation. Since the five fruits are born of causes and conditions, they can correspond to the unreality of the fist and fingers inside the mirror. Since the two causes are the causes and conditions able to produce, they can correspond to the unreality of the fist and fingers outside the mirror.
