Second, from "Furthermore, phenomena..." onward, integration and mutual identity. First, the conventional is directly the ultimate and the middle; next, the middle is directly the ultimate and the conventional; finally, the ultimate is directly the conventional and the middle. Because the wondrous three virtues are the three truths, these three are neither one nor different. The word "thus" therefore obtains its name as directly clarifying the overall contemplation. Taking "both one and different" as all dharmas, having taken "neither one nor different" as the contemplation that can contemplate, one takes "both one and different" as the object to be contemplated. Object and contemplation are non-dual, free to contract or expand without hindrance.
