二、「而言」下，明佛地通別都忘，二：初、正示。雖云菩薩能斷別見，而斷未盡，究竟在佛。若至佛地，不唯別盡，通亦窮邊。何者？蓋由見思遍十方界六道眾生差別種習之所成就。因地乃斷，未盡邊涯，唯佛究竟，故云若通若別究竟在佛。

Second, from "Yet saying" onward, clarifying that on the Buddha-ground both the common and distinct are completely forgotten, which has two parts: first, directly showing. Although it is said that bodhisattvas are able to eradicate distinct views, the eradication is not yet complete, reaching culmination only in the Buddha. If one reaches the Buddha-ground, not only is the distinct completely exhausted, but the common also reaches its ultimate limit. Why? Because view and thought afflictions are accomplished by the diverse seeds and habits of sentient beings in the six destinies across the ten directions. Eradicated on the causal ground, their ultimate limits are not yet exhausted, and only the Buddha brings them to culmination; hence it is said that whether common or distinct, culmination lies in the Buddha.
