二、「二乘」下，約大小釋斷，二：初、論大小斷盡不盡，二：初、明二乘斷通餘別。界內一切煩惱名數皆通界外，但以所障空中分之，則知通別。淨名室中天女散華，聲聞著身、菩薩不著，故被訶云：「結習未盡，華則著身。」斯乃斷通未能斷別也。

Second, from "The two vehicles" onward, explaining eradication in terms of the Great and Small [Vehicles], which has two parts: first, discussing whether the eradication of the Great and Small is complete or incomplete, which has two parts: first, clarifying that the eradication of the two vehicles is common [to the three realms] while the remainder is distinct. The names and numbers of all afflictions within the realms are entirely shared beyond the realms; only by dividing them according to what obscures emptiness or the middle can one know the common and the distinct. When the goddess scattered flowers in the room of Vimalakīrti, they stuck to the bodies of the śrāvakas but did not stick to the bodhisattvas; hence they were scolded: "Because the residue of habit is not yet exhausted, the flowers stick to your bodies." This is eradicating the common while not yet able to eradicate the distinct.
