二、「修因」下，明因果同類。二空正道為智德類、二空助道為斷德類，即緣、了二因。非此二因，安剋二果？

Second, from 'Cultivating the causes' downward, explaining that causes and effects are of the same kind. The direct path of the two emptinesses is of the kind belonging to the virtue of wisdom; the auxiliary path of the two emptinesses is of the kind belonging to the virtue of severance. These are precisely the contributing and revealing causes. Without these two causes, how could the two fruits be attained?
