二、「得正」下，二句，示應。分別約法知藥病也，解緣約機知生熟也。非此解別則無應身，故應身對機未熟而出乃名待時，已發後出乃名過時。啐啄同時，是應機相。

Second, the two lines from 'obtaining correct' downward indicate response. 'Differentiating' pertains to phenomena, knowing medicine and illness; 'understanding conditions' pertains to capacities, knowing whether they are raw or mature. Without these understandings and differentiations there would be no response body; therefore, for the response body to appear when the capacity is not yet mature is called awaiting the time, and to appear after it has already arisen is called passing the time. Pecking from within and tapping from without at the same moment—this is the mark of responding to capacity.
