初、就〈善集〉論。翻波羅蜜名到彼岸，是所歸處故名金；般若翻智故名光；五度是行故名明。此就智行及果為三對金光明。

First, discussing it in terms of the 'Wholesome Gathering'. Translating pāramitā as 'reaching the other shore'—it is the place of refuge and therefore named gold; translating prajñā as wisdom and therefore named light; the five pāramitās are practices and therefore named splendour. This pairs the three of wisdom, practice, and fruit with the Suvarṇaprabhāsa.
