二、讚經力用，三：初、「能令」下二句，讚上〈懺品〉滅惡。寂滅者，寂諸業行之惡，滅於果報之苦。

Second, praising the power and function of the sūtra, in three parts: First, the two lines from "Able to cause" praise the eradication of evil from the preceding "Chapter on Repentance." "Quiescent extinction" means putting to rest the evil of various karmic actions and extinguishing the suffering of retributive fruition.
