二、約定具慈悲請現，三：初、「世尊」下二行，明慈悲能護迷暗。樹神自昧如來上位真身，故請佛加，願使我身常得見佛。復愍於他迷瞽所及，不見佛之真體，故敘世尊常護一切。是故渴仰欲見者，即引己及他請佛現身。

Second, requesting [his] manifestation in terms of samādhi being endowed with compassion has three [parts]:
First, the two lines from "World-Honoured One..." clarify that compassion can protect those in delusion and darkness. The tree goddess, being herself obscured regarding the superior true body of the Tathāgata, requested the Buddha's empowerment: "May my body constantly be able to see the Buddha." Furthermore, pitying others who were blinded by delusion and could not see the Buddha's true body, she recounted that the World-Honoured One constantly protects all beings. Therefore, "thirsting and yearning to see [him]" means that she drew upon both herself and others to request that the Buddha manifest his body.
