Third, from "The text..." onward, the text shows perfect interpenetration. Differentiating the marks of the Dharma, reward, and response bodies above was done to make it easy to understand; thus it was necessary to approach it according to the shallowness, depth, superiority, and inferiority of capacities. One must understand that the earlier does not know the later, and one must understand that the later necessarily sees the earlier, precisely because the earlier is crude and the later is subtle. Now, the Four Heavenly Kings are great bodhisattvas; praising from the standpoint of the perfect [teaching], they see the marks of the three bodies as not two and not distinct from the wondrous three virtues: the response is liberation—how could it be separated from the other two virtues? The reward and Dharma are to be understood accordingly. Wishing to make this meaning evident, it is specifically said that there is no obstruction. If one understands this intention, only then has one deeply penetrated the Golden Light Dharma-gate.
