贊曰：文亦有四，如前。蓮華，此依華池住。翳羅，此云樹。鉢拏，此云葉。依此樹葉住，或食此葉，即善住龍王。乃至如意，依珠說名。歎德有三：一受持正法、二起深信心、三讚說守護。

Commentary: The text likewise has four parts, as before. 'Lotus' (Padma): this [nāga] dwells based in a lotus pond. 'Elā': this means a tree. 'Parṇa': this means leaves. Dwellling upon the leaves of this tree, or eating its leaves, [it is named] Elāpattra Nāga King. Down to 'Wish-fulfilling' (Cintāmaṇi), which is named after the jewel. In praising their virtues there are three aspects: first, receiving and upholding the saddharma; second, generating deep faith; third, praising, preaching, and protecting [it].
