經　復有三萬六千諸藥叉眾，毘沙門天王而為上首，其名曰：菴婆藥叉、持菴婆藥叉、蓮華光藏藥叉、蓮華面藥叉、顰眉藥叉、現大怖藥叉、動地藥叉、吞食藥叉，是等藥叉悉皆愛樂如來正法，深心護持不生疲懈。各於晡時往詣佛所，頂禮佛足，右繞三匝，退坐一面。

Sūtra: Furthermore, there were thirty-six thousand yakṣas, with the heavenly king Vaiśravaṇa as their leader, namely: the yakṣa Āmra, the yakṣa Holding Āmra, the yakṣa Lotus-Light Treasury, the yakṣa Lotus-Face, the yakṣa Knitted-Brow, the yakṣa Manifesting Great Terror, the yakṣa Earth-Shaker, and the yakṣa Devourer. All such yakṣas loved and took delight in the Tathāgata's saddharma, and protected and upheld it with deep resolve without growing weary. Each, in the late afternoon, went to where the Buddha was, bowed their heads at the Buddha's feet, circumambulated him to the right three times, and stepped back to sit to one side.
