二、明別得名者，三十一品分為二類：一法為名有二十、二法為名有十一。初中復四：從事為名有三，謂〈序品〉、〈捨身品〉、〈付囑品〉。從法為名有十，謂〈壽量品〉、〈三身品〉、〈夢見懺悔品〉、〈滅業障品〉、〈淨地陀羅尼品〉、〈重顯空性品〉、〈依空滿願品〉、〈無染著陀羅尼品〉、〈授記品〉、〈除病品〉。從喻為名有一，〈如意寶珠品〉。從人為名有六，〈大辯才天女品〉、〈大吉祥天女品〉、〈堅牢地神品〉、〈僧慎爾耶藥叉大將品〉、〈善生王品〉、〈長者子流水品〉。二法名中復分為二：法喻為名有二，〈蓮華喻讚品〉、〈金勝陀羅尼品〉。人法為名有九，〈四天王觀察人天品〉、〈四天王護國品〉、〈大吉祥天女增長財物品〉、〈王法正論品〉、〈諸天藥叉護持品〉、〈十方菩薩讚歎品〉、〈妙幢菩薩讚歎品〉、〈菩提樹神讚歎品〉、〈大辯才天女讚歎品〉。

Second, explaining the specific designations: the thirty-one chapters are divided into two categories: twenty are named by a single dharma, and eleven are named by two dharmas. In the first [category], there are again four: three are named after events, namely the 'Introductory Chapter', 'Chapter on Renouncing the Body', and 'Chapter on Entrustment'. Ten are named after dharmas, namely the 'Chapter on Life Span', 'Chapter on the Three Bodies', 'Chapter on Confession Seen in a Dream', 'Chapter on the Eradication of Karmic Obstacles', 'Chapter on the Dhāraṇī for Purifying the Grounds', 'Chapter on Revealing Emptiness Again', 'Chapter on Fulfilling Vows by Relying on Emptiness', 'Chapter on the Dhāraṇī of Non-attachment', 'Chapter on Bestowing Prophecies', and 'Chapter on Curing Illness'. One is named after a metaphor: the 'Chapter on the Wish-fulfilling Jewel'. Six are named after persons: the 'Chapter on the Great Goddess Sarasvatī', 'Chapter on the Great Goddess Mahāśrī', 'Chapter on the Firm Earth Goddess', 'Chapter on the Great Yakṣa General Saṃjñeya', 'Chapter on King Susambhava', and 'Chapter on the Elder's Son Jalavāhana'. Among the names by two dharmas, it is again divided into two: two are named after dharma and metaphor: the 'Chapter of Praise by the Lotus Metaphor' and 'Chapter on the Supreme Golden Dhāraṇī'. Nine are named after person and dharma: the 'Chapter on the Four Heavenly Kings Observing Humans and Devas', 'Chapter on the Four Heavenly Kings Protecting the State', 'Chapter on the Great Goddess Mahāśrī Increasing Wealth and Goods', 'Chapter on the Correct Treatise on the King's Law', 'Chapter on Devas and Yakṣas Protecting and Upholding', 'Chapter of Praise by the Bodhisattvas of the Ten Directions', 'Chapter of Praise by Ruciraketu Bodhisattva', 'Chapter of Praise by the Bodhi Tree Deity', and 'Chapter of Praise by the Great Goddess Sarasvatī'.
