2.83

贊曰：二、令於法起修習意。有十法行，此略舉四：一受持、二披讀、三諷誦、四解說。初三自利行、後一利他行，影顯餘行。於十法行各各有四，謂自作等。今言不謗毀者，即生隨喜，於佛所說生隨喜心。顯於持人亦生隨喜而不謗毀，且舉易行。

The commentary says: Second, causing them to give rise to the intention to practice the Dharma. There are ten dharmic practices (daśadharmacaryā); here four are cited in brief: 1. receiving and upholding; 2. reading; 3. chanting and reciting; 4. explaining. The first three are practices for one's own benefit, while the latter one is practice for benefiting others; they implicitly indicate the remaining practices. In each of the ten dharmic practices, there are four aspects, namely performing them oneself and so forth. Now, saying “without generating slander” means giving rise to sympathetic joy, generating a mind of sympathetic joy toward what the Buddha has spoken. This shows that they also give rise to sympathetic joy toward those who uphold them and do not slander them; here easy practices are cited for the moment.
