贊曰：次二頌願懺三世罪。蠲，亦除也。過現已造，懺之願除；未來未造，願懺防令不起。

The Commentary states: The next two verses pray to confess offenses of the three times. Expunging (蠲) also means eliminating. Having created them in the past and present, one confesses them, praying that they be eliminated; regarding those not yet created in the future, one prays to confess and guard so that they do not arise.
