贊曰：下四十二頌是第三復次，廣明懺願，多懺報障。文分為五：初四頌悔過、次十一頌歎佛功德、次二十五頌發願、次一頌隨喜、次一頌迴向。初懺悔中，文復分三：此初半頌歸誠總標。

The Commentary states: The forty-two verses below are the third section, extensively explaining confession and vows, largely confessing the obstacles of retribution. The text is divided into five parts: the first four verses confess faults, the next eleven verses praise the Buddha's virtues, the next twenty-five verses make vows, the next verse rejoices, and the final verse dedicates merit. Within the initial confession, the text is subdivided into three: this first half-verse takes refuge with sincere devotion and gives a general heading.
