贊曰：此次三頌別悔諸難。三頌十二句，一句為一難。一凡夫不了苦果難、二長時恒造惡業難、三由計我所積集難、四由貪流轉三界難、五於世樂果耽著難、六由依凡身起惑難、七邪心散動起倒難、八由惡友所攝難、九不了生死染著難、十由因三毒造罪難、十一生於無暇惡報難、十二無始未殖善因難。此意由惡業故生無暇，由不修善故起過，故今悉懺。

The Commentary states: The next three verses specifically confess the various difficulties. The three verses have twelve lines, with one line representing one difficulty: 1. the difficulty of ordinary beings failing to understand the fruits of suffering; 2. the difficulty of constantly creating unwholesome karma over a long time; 3. the difficulty of accumulation due to grasping at what belongs to self; 4. the difficulty of transmigrating in the three realms due to greed; 5. the difficulty of deep attachment to worldly pleasant fruits; 6. the difficulty of giving rise to confusion based on an ordinary body; 7. the difficulty of a deviant mind being distracted and giving rise to perversions; 8. the difficulty of being caught by bad companions; 9. the difficulty of failing to understand saṃsāra and becoming attached to it; 10. the difficulty of committing offenses caused by the three poisons; 11. the difficulty of being born in unfree, evil retributions; 12. the difficulty of having not planted wholesome causes from beginningless time. The meaning here is that because of evil karma one is born in unfree states, and because of not cultivating the good one gives rise to faults; hence one now confesses them all.
