贊曰：下二十五頌發願。分二：初五頌自他利願、後二十頌唯利他願。初中復二：初三頌求果願、後二頌求因願。初果願中有二：此半頌求果自利願。

Commentary: The following twenty-five verses make vows. They are divided into two parts: first, five verses of vows for the benefit of both self and others; later, twenty verses of vows purely for the benefit of others. The first part is further divided into two: first, three verses of vows seeking the result; later, two verses of vows seeking the cause. Within the initial vows for the result, there are two: this half-verse is the vow seeking the result for self-benefit.
