贊曰：此二頌半求果利他願。於中，初半頌願令得擇滅、次半頌願令降天魔、次半頌願令得涅槃、次半頌願令修六度、次半頌願令除六障。如文句知。

Commentary: These two and a half verses are vows seeking the result for the benefit of others. Within them, the first half-verse vows to cause them to attain cessation through deliberation; the next half-verse vows to cause them to subdue the heavenly māras; the next half-verse vows to cause them to attain nirvāṇa; the next half-verse vows to cause them to cultivate the six pāramitās; the next half-verse vows to cause them to remove the six hindrances. This is understood from the text and sentences.
