下正教勸請。有二：初教勸請、次教迴向。問：下自別說迴向之法，何故請中先明迴向？答：下是總明，此是別說，影於懺悔、隨喜之善皆應迴向。初中有二：初請、後請意。請中有二：初歸誠請時、次正申請。請中二：初請說法、後請久住。三業俱請，若初成道未轉法輪，請轉法輪；若欲捨報身，請久住也。

Next, he properly teaches entreaty. There are two parts: first, teaching entreaty; next, teaching dedication. Question: Below, the method of dedication is separately explained; why is dedication explained first within the entreaty? In the first part, there are two: first, the entreaty; second, the intention of the entreaty. In the entreaty, there are two: first, the time of sincerely taking refuge and entreating; second, properly making the entreaty. In the entreaty, there are two: first, entreating them to teach the Dharma; second, entreating them to abide long. One entreats with all three modes of action (trīṇi karmāṇi). If they have just attained enlightenment and have not yet turned the wheel of the Dharma, one entreats them to turn the wheel of the Dharma; if they intend to cast off their reward bodies, one entreats them to abide long.
