下引證，有三：一初別明請說、請住果；二「我法身者」下合明二請果；三「此等皆由」下結。初別明果中，初請說法果、「我於往昔」下後說請住果。請住果中有四：初智德；次恩德；次不共德，佛所成德非二乘有、菩薩不圓，皆云不共；後法不滅。文顯可知。

Next, he adduces verification. There are three parts: first, separately clarifying the fruits of entreating preaching and entreating abiding; second, from "As for my dharmakāya" below, jointly clarifying the fruits of the two entreaties; third, from "These are all due to" below, concluding. In the first part separately clarifying the fruits: first is the fruit of entreating the preaching of the Dharma; from "In the past, while engaged" below, he explains the fruit of entreating abiding. Within the fruit of entreating abiding, there are four: first, the virtue of wisdom; next, the virtue of grace; next, the unique virtues—the virtues achieved by the Buddha are not possessed by the two vehicles and are not perfected by bodhisattvas, hence they are all called "unique"; finally, the non-extinction of the Dharma. The text is clear and intelligible.
