3.679

經　是時無量釋梵四王及藥叉眾，俱時同聲答世尊言：「如是如是。若有國土講宣讀誦此妙經王，是諸國王，我等四王常來擁護，行住共俱。其王若有一切災障及諸怨敵，我等四王皆使消殄，憂愁疾疫亦令除差，增益壽命、感應禎祥、所願遂心，恒生歡喜。我等亦能令其國中所有軍兵悉皆勇健。」

Sūtra: At that time, immeasurable [beings among] Brahmā, Śakra, the Four Kings, and the yakṣa assembly, at the same moment with one voice answered the World-Honoured One, saying: "So it is, so it is! If there is a realm where this wondrous king of sūtras is expounded, proclaimed, read, and recited, regarding those kings, we Four Kings will constantly come to protect them, accompanying them whether moving or staying. If that king has any disasters, impediments, or hostile enemies, we Four Kings will cause them all to be extinguished, and will cause grief, anxiety, and epidemics to be eliminated; we will increase his lifespan, evoke auspicious portents, fulfil his wishes according to his heart, and constantly produce joy. We are also able to cause all the troops and soldiers in his realm to be brave and robust."
