下諸天答護中有四：初標答護、二「若有國土」下明得護所以、三「是諸國王」下明所護之王、四「我等四王」下明能護者。有三：一為侍衛、二「其王」下為除惡、三「增益壽」下加善。加善有四：一增壽、二現瑞、三令勸、四兵勇。

Below, in the devas answering that they protect, there are four parts: first, indicating their answer that they protect; second, from "If there is a realm" onwards, clarifying the reason for obtaining protection; third, from "regarding those kings" onwards, clarifying the kings who are protected; fourth, from "we Four Kings" onwards, clarifying those who can protect. There are three aspects: first, acting as retainers and guards; second, from "If that king" onwards, eliminating evils; third, from "increase his lifespan" onwards, conferring good. Conferring good has four parts: first, increasing lifespan; second, manifesting portents; third, bringing joy; fourth, the bravery of the troops.
