4.73

經　「善男子！復依五法，菩薩摩訶薩成就持戒波羅蜜。云何為五？一者三業清淨、二者不為一切眾生作煩惱因緣、三者閉諸惡道開善趣門、四者過於聲聞獨覺之地、五者一切功德皆悉滿足。善男子！是名菩薩摩訶薩成就持戒波羅蜜。」

Sūtra: “Good son! Furthermore, relying on five dharmas, a bodhisattva mahāsattva accomplishes the discipline (śīla) pāramitā. What are the five? First, the three actions being pure; second, not acting as a cause or condition of afflictions for any sentient being; third, closing the evil destinies and opening the gates to the good realms; fourth, surpassing the stages of śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas; fifth, all merits being completely fulfilled. Good son! This is called a bodhisattva mahāsattva accomplishing the discipline pāramitā.”
