下彰經力能。初與人天樂。「止息」下息除六苦：一止息四惡趣苦、二止息五怖畏苦、三止息刀兵苦、四止息飢饉苦、五止息疫病苦、六止息災變苦。

Commentary: Below, it reveals the power and efficacy of the sūtra. First, bestowing happiness upon humans and devas. From "puts an end to" onward, it puts an end to and removes six kinds of suffering: first, putting an end to the suffering of the four miserable destinies; second, putting an end to the suffering of the five fears; third, putting an end to the suffering of armed conflict; fourth, putting an end to the suffering of famine; fifth, putting an end to the suffering of epidemic diseases; sixth, putting an end to the suffering of calamities.
