贊曰：下明弘護得益，有三：初王起善願；二「世尊是諸國王」下教使弘經；三「我等及餘」下四王蒙益，有三：初標、「何以故」者反徵、「以是人王」下後釋。標中云「以是聽法」等，由人王聽法。「我等」已下明我四天王等得益。

Commentary: Below explains that propagating and protecting brings benefit, which has three parts: first, the king giving rise to wholesome aspirations; second, instructing him to propagate the sūtra from "World-Honoured One, such kings..." onward; third, the Four Kings receiving benefit from "We and the rest..." onward, which has three: first, the statement; "Why is this?" is the rhetorical questioning; and the explanation follows from "Because this king of men..." onward. In the statement, "by the power of listening to the Dharma" and so on indicates it is due to the king of men listening to the Dharma. From "we" onward clarifies the benefit obtained by us, the Four Heavenly Kings, and the rest.
