下明持呪方軌。方軌有三：初教護身、次教請護、後正教本呪。初教護身有三：初標呪名、次正說、後世尊誦。「此呪」下教誦軌。薜室羅末拏也（此云多聞）莫訶（此云大）曷羅闍也（此云王），餘文可知。言多揭羅者，此云零凌香。

First, teaching how to protect the body has three items: first, indicating the name of the dhāraṇī; second, directly speaking it; third, from 'World-Honoured One, reciting this dhāraṇī' down, teaching the procedure for recitation. 'Vaiśravaṇāya' (this means 'Much-Hearing'), 'mahā' (this means 'great'), 'rājāya' (this means 'king'); the rest of the text is readily understood. As for 'tagara', this means linglingxiang.
