經　「世尊！若持呪時欲得見我自身現者，可於月八日或十五日於白㲲上畫佛形像，當用木膠雜彩莊飾。其畫像人為受八戒。於佛左邊作吉祥天女像，於佛右邊作我多聞天像，并畫男女眷屬之類安置坐處，咸令如法。布列華彩，燒眾名香然燈續明晝夜無歇，上妙飲食種種珍奇發殷重心隨時供養。」

Sūtra: 'World-Honoured One! If while upholding the dhāraṇī one wishes to see my own body manifest, one may, on the eighth or fifteenth day of the month, paint an image of the Buddha on white cotton cloth, adorned with wood-glue and variegated pigments. The painter of the image should receive the eight precepts for this purpose. To the left of the Buddha, depict the image of the goddess Śrīdevī; to the right of the Buddha, depict the image of myself, the heavenly king Much-Hearing, and also depict our male and female retinues arranged in their seats, all in accordance with the Dharma. Lay out flowers and pigments, burn various famous incenses, and light lamps in continuous succession day and night without ceasing. With superior and wondrous food and drink and various rare items, generate a deep and earnest mind, making offerings according to the time.'
