5.190

經　爾時四天王讚歎佛已，世尊亦以伽他而答之曰：「此《金光明最勝經》，無上十力之所說，汝等四王常擁衛，應生勇猛不退心。此妙經寶極甚深，能與一切有情樂。由彼有情安樂故，常得流通贍部洲。於此大千世界中，所有一切有情類，餓鬼傍生及地獄，如是苦趣悉皆除。住此南洲諸國王，及餘一切有情類，由經威力常歡喜，皆蒙擁護得安寧，亦使此中諸有情，除眾病苦無賊盜。賴此國土弘經故，安穩豐樂無違惱。」

Sūtra: At that time, after the Four Heavenly Kings had praised the Buddha, the World-Honored One also answered them with gāthās, saying:
"This Suvarṇaprabhāsottamasūtra
Was spoken by the Unsurpassed One of Ten Powers.
You Four Kings should always protect and defend it,
And give rise to a courageous and non-retrogressing mind.
This exquisite jewel of a sūtra is extremely profound,
Able to bestow joy upon all sentient beings.
Because of the peace and joy of those sentient beings,
It should constantly circulate in Jambudvīpa.
Within this great thousandfold world system,
All sentient beings of every kind—
Pretas, animals, and hell-dwellers—
Suffering destinies such as these are all completely eliminated.
The various kings who abide in this southern continent,
And all other sentient beings,
Are constantly joyful through the majesty of the sūtra,
All receiving protection and obtaining peace and tranquility;
It also causes the sentient beings herein
To eliminate many sicknesses and sufferings, free from thieves and bandits.
Relying on this land's propagation of the sūtra,
They are peaceful, abundant, joyful, and free from opposition and distress."
