下明得益，有二：初聞名益、二「若於住處」下明書名益。問：聞電王名已離恐怖，何假說呪方離怖耶？答：由持呪力，能令彼王守護離怖。又復初神護離怖，後呪護離怖。然呪護勝，經品得名。

Below explains obtaining benefits, having two parts: first, the benefit of hearing the names; second, from 'If in one's dwelling' onward, explaining the benefit of writing the names. Question: If hearing the names of the lightning-kings already frees one from terrors, why does one need the recitation of the spell to become free from fear? Answer: Through the power of upholding the spell, it can cause those kings to protect and free one from fear. Moreover, at first the spirits protect and free one from fear, and later the spell protects and frees one from fear. However, the spell's protection is superior, and the sūtra chapter obtains its name [from it].
