下慈悲正救中第二慈心與樂。有二：初內自思惟、後「時長者子」下外行利樂。初中復三：初念昔所聞；次「我今」下思為魚說；後「然贍部」下兼亦利人，即下文中由魚得益報長者恩，王臣等聞因發深信故也。三文如次。

Below, in the section on "Direct Rescue through Compassion", the second is "The Merciful Mind Granting Happiness". It has two parts: first, internal reflection; afterwards, from "at that time, the merchant's son" onward, external performance of benefit and joy. The first also has three parts: first, recalling what was heard in the past; next, from "I should now" onward, contemplating teaching it for the fish; afterwards, from "However, in Jambudvīpa" onward, simultaneously benefiting people as well—which refers to the text below where, because the fish obtain benefit and repay the merchant's kindness, the king, ministers, and others hear of it and give rise to deep faith. The three portions of text are in this order.
