6.158

經　爾時如來、應、正等覺，天上天下最勝最尊、百千光明照十方界、具一切智功德圓滿，將諸苾芻及於大眾至般遮羅聚落詣一林中，其地平正無諸荊棘，名華軟草遍布其處。佛告具壽阿難陀汝：「可於此樹下為我敷座。」時阿難陀受教敷已，白言：「世尊！其座敷訖，唯聖知時。」

Sūtra: At that time the Tathāgata, Arhat, Samyaksambuddha—the most supreme and most venerable above and beneath the heavens, whose hundreds of thousands of bright rays illuminated the worlds of the ten directions, endowed with all-knowledge and complete in merits—led the bhikṣus and the great assembly to the village of Pañcala and went into a grove. The ground there was level and even, free of brambles, with famous flowers and soft grass spread everywhere throughout that place. The Buddha told the venerable Ānanda: "You may prepare a seat for me beneath this tree." When Ānanda had received the instruction and prepared it, he said to the Buddha: "World-Honoured One, the seat is prepared. Only the Sage knows the proper time."
