6.208

經　爾時世尊說是往昔因緣之時，無量阿僧企耶人天大眾皆大悲喜，歎未曾有，悉發阿耨多羅三藐三菩提心。復告樹神：「我為報恩故致禮敬。」佛攝神力，其窣堵波還沒于地。

Sūtra: At that time, when the World-Honoured One recounted this past cause and condition, an immeasurable asaṃkhyeya assembly of humans and devas were all filled with great compassion and joy, marvelling at what was unprecedented, and they all gave rise to the mind of anuttarasamyaksambodhi. He further addressed the tree deity: "It was in order to repay my debt of gratitude that I paid obeisance." The Buddha withdrew his supernormal power, and the stūpa sank back into the earth.
