6.294

經　爾時天帝釋合掌恭敬說伽陀曰：「諸佛證此法，為欲報恩故，饒益菩薩眾，出世演斯經。我於彼諸佛，報恩常供養，護持如是經，及以持經者。」

Sūtra: At that time, Śakra, King of the Gods, reverently joined his palms and spoke gāthās, saying:
'All Buddhas have realized this Dharma;
In order to repay their gratitude,
To benefit the host of bodhisattvas,
They appear in the world and expound this sūtra.
Toward those Buddhas,
I constantly offer worship to repay gratitude,
Protecting and maintaining such a sūtra,
As well as those who uphold the sūtra.'
