下聞教喜行。依《文殊問經論》云「有三種義，是故歡喜。一說者清淨，以於諸法得自在故，此意以無染著得說自在故。二所說法清淨，以如實證知清淨法體故。三依所說法得果清淨，以得妙境界。」此意以依所說證入真理得涅槃故。說契機理，叶果符因。所以得一句者欣夕死於朝聞，故覩全章者即積慶而行學。

Below is rejoicing and putting into practice upon hearing the teaching. Based on the *Mañjuśrīparipṛcchā-śāstra*, it says: "There are three kinds of meanings; therefore they rejoice. First, the speaker is pure, because he has attained sovereignty over all dharmas—the meaning of this is that through non-attachment he attains sovereignty in preaching. Second, the Dharma that is preached is pure, because he truly realizes the pure nature of dharmas. Third, the fruit attained based on the Dharma that is preached is pure, because he attains a wondrous sphere"—the meaning of this is that based on what is preached, he realizes and enters into the true reality and attains nirvāṇa. The preaching accords with capacity and truth, and the fruit tallies with the cause. Therefore, one who grasps a single phrase rejoices to die in the evening having heard it in the morning; thus, those who behold the entire chapter accumulate joy and practice the training.
