釋名者，梵云俱舍羅（此云善）唱婆婆此云生。舊云善集，義翻非正。此品明昔善生求法持經之行，故以為名。

As for explaining the name: in Sanskrit, kuśala (here translated as 'good' [shan]) saṃbhava (here translated as 'born' [sheng]). Formerly translated as Shanjī ('Good Accumulation'), this was a free translation and not accurate. This chapter clarifies the past practice of Sujāta seeking the Dharma and upholding the sūtra, hence it is used as the title.
