'Transforming lakṣaṇa' means that through beginningless perfuming and alteration, awareness becomes non-awareness. 'Karmic lakṣaṇa' means that because of non-awareness there is movement, which constitutes karma. 'True lakṣaṇa' means that following conditions it does not change, its substance and nature being truly pure. Relying on the Awakening of Faith: 'The karmic lakṣaṇa, transforming lakṣaṇa, and manifesting lakṣaṇa arise from the true to produce delusion; deluded movement forms karma, due to movement it transforms, viewing objective realms, which manifest in succession.' That here it does not say 'manifesting' but says 'true' is because it expresses that this consciousness follows conditions without changing, and therefore is named 'true.'
