若謂五陰、十八界、十二入已滅則是無因，今滅則是無果，當滅則復無因。以是推之，皆是自心妄想所見，彼因既無，則無次第相續生矣。

If one claims that the five aggregates, eighteen elements, and twelve sense bases have already perished, then there is no cause; if they are now perishing, then there is no effect; if they will perish, then there is again no cause. Deducing from this, all are seen through the false imagination of their own minds; since their cause is absent, there is no sequential, continuous arising.
