此之問意，正由請說法身境界，當為說實，而如來但說藏識如海等諸部法相，是故設喻以問。既分諸部，何不說實也。

The intention of this question arises directly from requesting an exposition of the realm of the Dharma-body: one should speak the truth for their sake, yet the Tathāgata only speaks of the characteristics of the various categories of dharmas, such as the storehouse consciousness being like the ocean; therefore he sets forth an analogy to ask: since you have already divided the various categories, why not speak the truth?
