佛告大慧：「有一種外道作無所有妄想計著，覺知因盡，兔無角想。如兔無角，一切法亦復如是。大慧！復有餘外道，見種、求那、極微、陀羅驃、形處橫法各各差別，見已計著無兔角，橫法作牛有角想。」

The Buddha told Mahāmati: "There is a class of tīrthikas who engage in the vikalpa-attachment of non-existence, knowing that when the cause is exhausted, there is the conception that a hare has no horns. Just as a hare has no horns, all dharmas are also like this. Mahāmati, there are other tīrthikas who, seeing the respective distinctions of the arbitrary dharmas of the elements (dhātu), qualities (guṇa), atoms (paramāṇu), substances (dravya), and shapes and locations, and having seen them, cling to the absence of horns on a hare, and regarding these arbitrary dharmas, form the conception that an ox has horns."
