「大慧！若復妄想異角者，則不應角生。若不異者，則因彼故，乃至微塵分析推求悉不可得，不異角故，彼亦非性。二俱無性者，何法何故而言無耶？大慧！若無故無角，觀有故言兔無角者，不應作想。大慧！不正因故，而說有無二俱不成。」

"Mahāmati, if vikalpa were different from the horns, then it should not arise from the horns. If it were not different, then because of that, even when minute dust particles are analyzed and investigated, they cannot be apprehended at all; because it is not different from the horns, it too would not be a reality. If both are without reality, based on what dharma and for what reason would one speak of nonexistence? Mahāmati, if by reason of nonexistence there are no horns, and by observing existence one says that a hare has no horns, one should not form such a notion. Mahāmati, because it is not a proper cause, both existence and nonexistence are unestablished."
