1.591

此言菩薩亦證真諦而不住著。言非滅門者，不同小乘住寂滅門，趣正受樂。言顧憫眾生等者，謂菩薩以悲願度生，不取著涅槃也。此重結指是聲聞所得三昧之樂，然菩薩於此三昧不應修學。

This says that the Bodhisattva also realizes the true reality yet does not abide in it. Saying 'not the gateway of cessation' means not abiding in the gateway of tranquility and extinction and inclining toward the bliss of correct absorption like the Hīnayāna. Saying 'out of compassionate concern for sentient beings' and so forth means that the Bodhisattva delivers sentient beings with compassion and vows, without grasping at nirvāṇa. This again concludes by pointing out that this is the bliss of samādhi attained by śrāvakas, but Bodhisattvas should not train in or study this samādhi.
