大慧聞上諸法遠離斷、常二見，則已了達真空諸法無生無異、離性離相，而到於聖趣。為未了者復有此請，故如來條列而答之。

When Mahāmati heard that the aforementioned dharmas are far removed from the two views of annihilation and permanence, he had already comprehended true emptiness—that all dharmas are unproduced, non-different, and free from nature and characteristics—and had arrived at the noble destination. For the sake of those who have not yet understood, he made this request again, and therefore the Tathāgata answered by listing the items.
