「云何彼彼空？謂於彼無彼空，是名彼彼空。大慧！譬如鹿子母舍，無象馬牛羊等，非無比丘眾，而說彼空，非舍舍性空，亦非比丘比丘性空，非餘處無象馬，是名一切法自相，彼於彼無彼，是名彼彼空。是名七種空。彼彼空者，是空最麆，汝當遠離。」

"What is mutual emptiness? It means that in that there is no this, and in this there is no that; this is called mutual emptiness. Mahāmati, it is like the mansion of Mṛgāramātṛ: it has no elephants, horses, cattle, sheep, and the like, but it is not without an assembly of bhikṣus, yet it is spoken of as empty of those. It is not that the nature of the mansion is empty of a mansion, nor is it that the nature of a bhikṣu is empty of a bhikṣu, nor is it that other places are without elephants and horses. This is called the individual characteristic of all dharmas: that in that there is no this, and in this there is no that; this is called mutual emptiness. These are called the seven kinds of emptiness. Mutual emptiness is the coarsest of these emptinesses; you should keep far away from it."
